During the use of Telegram, it may occasionally happen that a phone number gets banned. When this occurs, both the mobile and desktop (PC) versions of Telegram will automatically log out. Upon attempting to log in again, a message will appear stating that the phone number has been banned.

If you haven’t committed any serious violations while using Telegram, such as sending bulk ads that were reported by many users, there’s no need to worry. You can easily lift the ban with a few simple steps, and once unbanned, all your previous chat history, contacts, and groups will remain intact.

However, if you have committed a large number of violations, it’s recommended to simply use a new phone number to register again, as the chances of being unbanned are almost zero.

Use any of your email addresses and send an email to: recover@telegram.org with the following content:

1.The “+1 xxx xxx xxxx” in the email should be your Telegram login phone number. The “+1” refers to the country code; for China, it’s +86, so make sure not to get it wrong.
2.After sending the email, it usually takes about 1–7 days to regain access to Telegram, provided the ban wasn’t due to a serious violation.
3.Telegram has very few official support staff, so don’t expect a very fast response.
4.If you urgently need to log in to Telegram to reply to messages or handle tasks—as I did—use the second method.

Telegram Unban Method 2:

The second method for unbanning is rarely used or shared online. After testing multiple accounts, this method proved to be faster than the first one. In my experience, it took less than 12 hours to lift the ban. Here’s the detailed process:

1. Open the following link on your mobile or desktop browser: https://telegram.org/support — this is Telegram’s official support page.
2. Fill in the form on this page. Below is the content I used, which you can copy or reword in your own words:
